The Canadian Beauty is a seasonal subscription box featuring Canadian brands and products.They take pride in supporting fellow business owners and Canadian entrepreneurs. Stephanie hopes that with Canadian Beauty she will help expand Canadian Business awareness and help brand Canadian products nationally.

What's one thing people probably don't know about you? I’m a super sensitive person.

Are you a stay at home mom? Sort of, I work in my building with my husband; we hold a Superintendent position.We also run Canadian Beauty Box together in our home. Both positions give us the flexibility to be around for our children.
What is your favourite thing to do for yourself? Getting out of the house and being pampered in any way (which I don’t do as often as I would like to), Grabbing a coffee and walking around Homesense.
What is your favourite date night activity? Going out to eat with my husband, because that means we don’t have to cook or clean up after ourselves. It also nice not to have two little voices in your ear lol
What's one thing you couldn't live without? Family, Kids then Husband, yup in that order. They keep me grounded and prevent the crazies, but sometimes they cause the crazies too.
Who's your IG inspiration? Tbh I really don’t have one, however, I really do look up to the owner of The Scented Market. She is always working her brand and her content really speaks to me on a professional level.
What advice would you give your younger self? Follow your own compass; don’t sweat the small stuff. Life’s too short. Give yourself more credit, you really are doing something awesome even if it doesn’t always feel that way.
How did you choose the name for your business? It was literally the first “name” we came up with and it stuck. There is meaning behind the name however. All Canadian women are Beauties in a unique way and the Canadian Beauty Box features brands and businesses that share in the beauty of Canada
How do you balance having kids & running a business? Firstly, I am not alone, which is helpful. My husband and partner have a really good relationship. Being on the same page with parenting and we have the same business views and dreams, working well together as a part of team comes very naturally and I am lucky to say I married my best friend.

What advice can you give someone looking to start up their own business?
Definitely do some market research. Don’t be afraid to reach out to other business and ask questions to gain knowledge pertaining to what it is you want to do. Put yourself out there with family and friends; ask for feedback (and honest feedback) and if your passionate about what your trying to do, you will reach your goals
What sets your business apart from others alike? We’re Canadians supporting Canadians, the whole idea behind this box is that it’s a reciprocal relationship we create with businesses. We want to grow ourselves but our main focus is to help grow nationwide businesses as well.
What is the most challenging part of running your business? I would have to say it is the work-work-life-kids-work balance

Dream car: Pft, car, please. Give me a private Jet, that way I go anywhere in the world!!

I am always so hesitant to get a subscription box! I always worry am I going to like the products, is it going to be worth my money, is it going to be high quality? Those are a few of the things that go through my head before purchasing. However, the Canadian Beauty box is high quality products that I think everyone will love. And if you don't, the items would make great gifts! So in my books its a win, win!
I received the Spring Canadian Beauty Box. The box arrived in good shape! I loved the design of the box and that when you opened it up there was an "EH" sticker in true Canadian fashion! The box also said "Hello Beautiful" and come on who doesn't love to see that! It is a great reminder to ourselves that hey we are beautiful! I am going to break it down by each item inside of the box to give you a full review of the products.
Buck Naked Soap Company - Lavender and Rosemary Bath Bomb Retail $6 I think this was my favourite item in the box. The smell of the bath bomb was to die for! I had a bath the night that I received the box because I could not wait to use it. The lavender was the perfect addition to this bath bomb and I would 100% purchase more of them. It was soothing, smelled amazing and looked pretty too! Mila Rose Boutique Travel Soy Candle Retail $10 This was another one of my favourites. I find with candles sometimes they don't omit enough of a scent to make the room smell nice. However, this candle is amazing! We got the Fresh Cucumber scent and it is one of the nicest smelling candles I have ever owned.
Get Unwined Luxe Stemless Tumbler Retail $37.50 I LOVE WINE! And I also love me a stemless wine glass. So this tumbler was the perfect mix of my two favourite things! It holds 9oz of liquid and keeps your drink cold forever! As a mom that is a must as I never get to drink my drink when I want to and am usually interrupted. So to have something to keep my drink cold even if I have to step away is a dream.
Skintensley Smooth Xf-eau-liate Body Scrub Retail $15 This is another favourite from the box. I love using the scrub, it feels amazing on my skin and I always feel refreshed and rejuvenated when I get out of the shower. It is easy to use and great quality. Lip Service Beauty All Natural Lip Balm Retail $8 This lip balm has been great for nourishing my cracked and dry lips from the cold. I use it almost everyday and am very happy with the quality. Dione Cosmetics Goddess Gloss Retail $16 Another favourite of mine is this gloss. Again I am not one to throw in gloss or lipstick of any kind. However, I really like the way this one feels. It doesn't feel like it is caked on, lasts and provides a natural look. Perfect for a mom on the go! Miss Fit Sterling Silver Lotus Necklace Retail $45 This necklace is absolutely beautiful. The design and craftsmanship is high quality. I love wearing mine and so does Lily too!
MaskerAide Beauty Rest'ore Sheet Mask Retail $7 I am not one to usually use any types of masks or scrubs on my face. I have treated myself to some and they always end up sitting my in drawer. My husband probably uses them more than I do. However, I figured this was the perfect time for me to indulge in some self-care and I put the mask on while I was having a bath. I really enjoyed it. My face felt so smooth afterwards and smelled amazing!
Overall I highly recommend purchasing a Canadian Beauty Box. If you are unsure there are a variety of subscription options so you don't have to commit to a full year. And remember, if a product isn't for you I am sure there is someone in your life that would love it as a gift! And if you're anything like me, I am not always up to shopping so having something giftable arrive to my door sign me up!
