CHRIS & I ARE GOING TO BE AN AUNT AND UNCLE!
So putting together this gift basket for my sister & brother in law and their soon to be baby boy was a passion project that I really enjoyed doing. I knew when we found that my sister in law was pregnant that I wanted to put together the ultimate small shop basket that included items from all the shops that we love most because;
Shopping small and local is so important especially right now
Small shops have the most unique baby gifts ever!
Guests at baby showers typically gravitate to the same gifts and stores and I didn't want to double up on something someone else already purchased for them
I also wanted to surprise them by not getting anything from the baby registry
I wanted to get items that I knew were practical, would last and be meaningful to their growing family
I wanted to include items for mom, dad and baby!
Now this basket that I put together was large and in my opinion "ultimate" and I did this because I obviously wanted to spoil our nephew and his mommy and daddy! But I also wanted to show you guys a wide variety of items that you could include in a baby shower gift. By no means does it always have to be this big that will depend on your budget. But hopefully this will give you an item of some amazing shops and items out there that are sure to impress the mom to be!

For Mama Okay yes I know what you're thinking its a baby shower. But come on people - mama is doing all the work right now! So she deserves to be thought about too and feel prepared for labour and postpartum recovery. Which is why I wanted to include a variety of items for the mama to be in the basket.

The Basket

I highly recommend purchasing your basket as the last item! You want to make sure that you get a basket that will fit everything that you want to include in the gift. For this, we needed a large basket and this one was perfect! I also loved it because I knew the theme of our nephew's nursery and felt this would be a great fit! What I loved about the basket most though is it's large size making it very practical as it can be used in a few ways; a hamper, toy basket or storing other baby items such as blankets or clothing in the next size up.
