When your kids have a dream as parents we obviously want to make them a reality. And sometimes that means asking for help and leaning on people who are the experts to make that happen. When I came across Candace and Basil Furniture who is local in Mississauga I knew that they were the right match to reach out and make Lily's dreams of a bunk bed come true.
I spent hours looking at their website not just at bunk beds but other furniture as well and dreaming up the ways that we could update and redecorate our home. They offer custom and beautiful pieces that help make your home truly your own. We fell in love with this Twin over Full Bunk Bed in Grey.
The bunk beds were delivered right to our door and to see Lily's excitement come to life just over the boxes arriving was so cute. She couldn't wait for Daddy to start building it. So we started the process of removing her old bed from her bedroom and moving it into her brothers room. Eventually when Violet is older we will get rid of her crib and her and Lily will both get to enjoy the bunkbeds. I have no doubts the girls will make so many memories together chatting and playing together.

Daddy took over the building of the bunk beds while I took the kiddos out of the house for a bit so Lily would be surprised. When we came home she was so excited to sleep in her new bed, bedtime was finally easy for once - she was begging us to go to sleep that night LOL. Chris said the bunkbeds were easy to assemble and took him approximately 40 minutes to put together on his own.
When we got home Lily and I went to work decorating and putting the finishing touches on her bunk bed. We let Lily pick out her own bedding - thankfully because the bottom is a Full we were able to use the bedding she originally had (purchased from Homesense a few years ago) and then she picked out something special for the top bunk - Mainstay Kids Rainbow Microfiber Sheet set from Walmart.
The kids have already made so many memories in these bunk beds. From climbing around and playing make believe, to snuggling up to read a book together and enjoying extra snuggles with mom and dad. One of my favourite parts of the bed is that it is a full on the bottom. It allows Chris and I lots of room to snuggle up with the kids and be comfortable as well. Having a bunk bed provides so many fun play opportunities as well as an exciting new sleep adventure for your child(ren). I am so excited to go on this adventure with our kids thanks to Candace and Basil.
